The Story

BACK_TO_TOP

Kane Over the last century, Earth has virtually turned into a wounded planet, and the scars of war are implanted in her past. Nod was defeated, and their once powerful terrorist organization crumbled shortly afterwards. With Kane missing and the crushing defeat by Initiative forces, Nod now only consists of a few leftover factions that have gone into hiding in underground bases - the heart of Nod is broken. As for Kane, his body was never recovered among the battle wreckage at the Temple of Nod, and, as the years passed, he was officially declared dead.
Tiberium has ravaged the globe, which has caused the general population to be safeguarded by the GDI; who are now the supreme authority among the Space Station Philadelphia world's few nations. Toxins from Tiberium, which has now spread throughout the most of the planet, have infected and transformed some of the population into the Mutants; this nickname was given to them by the rest of the earth's inhabitants. They are outcasts; GDI turns them away, civilians want nothing to do with them, and the Nod factions hate them - the Mutants have nowhere to go.
The year is now 2030, and the world is at peace. GDI keeps a safe lookout from the space station Philadelphia - continuing it's protective role as guardian of the surviving free world. Of course, keeping the peace in 2030 isn't always easy, as the few Nod factions cause trouble here and there, and with the growing Tiberium expansion, they now have an even bigger role to play in coming events. A great struggle is coming, a conflict of major proportions; and only GDI can stand against it.
