Description: This is the basic infantry unit for the Nod forces. They are effective against other infantry, but lack the firepower to efficiently damage armored vehicles. In large groups, they destroy buildings fairly quickly, and in the early stages of the game, serve as good scouts and base defenders.



Grenadier

Description: These infantry units serve as better opposition against armored vehicles, especially when concentrated in large groups. Grenadiers also deal with enemy infantry threats as well. Their grenades have good range, and thus can be used for sneak and surprise attacks.



Rocket_Soldier

Description: The Rocket Soldier serves as the perfect mobile defense against aerial attacks. In groups, they can quickly destroy slow moving armored enemy vehicles. Their effectiveness against other infantry units is much less.



Engineer

Description: Engineers serve as the perfect strategic attack against enemy structures. Without any weapons, they are unable to destroy enemy buildings, but they can very quickly convert an enemy building into one of your own. Their abilities are great, as they can also instantly repair structures in your own base, but their weakness is their lack of armor and a defensive weapon.



Commando

Description: The Commando is only available to the Nod forces in multiplayer. He instantly destroys any structure with his specialized C4 Explosives, and, almost just as fast, deals with enemy infantry with his high ranged Sniper Rifle. The Commando is only prone to enemy armored vehicle attacks.



Flamethrower

Description: This unit has the ability to slaughter massive amounts of enemy infantry. It sets enemy buildings on fire, but its effectiveness against armored vehicles is greatly reduced. The Flamethrower has light armor, and specific shots to the flame-device on his back causes this soldier to burn instantly.



Chemical_Warrior

Description: This unit is similar to the Flamethrower in that it sprays specialized chemical hazardous gas. It quickly eliminates large numbers of enemy infantry, but is relatively weak against enemy buildings and armored vehicles. This unit is only made available to the Nod forces in multiplayer mode.




Harvester

Description: This vehicle has only one purpose: To collect Tiberium and return it to the Refinery for conversion into credits. Without the construction of these vehicles, the economy of your base will greatly suffer, which will eventually lead to defeat.



Nod_Buggy

Description: This unit is fairly effective in the early stages of any game. It serves well as a scout and a defensive weapon against early enemy infantry attacks. The Buggy stands very little chance against heavily armored vehicles, such as any GDI tanks.



Recon_Bike

Description: This is the perfect scout for any game. It is very fast, and the missiles it is armed with can destroy light armored tanks and vehicles easily. In groups, the Recon Bike serves as great early attackers.



Flame_Tank

Description: The Flame Tank is another vehicle in Nod's arsenal built for dealing with infantry quickly and precisely. The Flame Tank is also rather effective against most enemy buildings. When destroyed, any surrounding infantry are burned as well, due to the explosion.



Light_Tank

Description: This is the main vehicle of any Nod armored attack force. Its weapon is perfectly suited for the vehicles speed. In groups, it quickly destroys enemy vehicles, but has trouble dealing with enemy infantry. It should be accompanied by machine gun or artillery vehicles for the supreme attack combination.



Mobile_Artillery

Description: The Artillery is the best vehicle for dealing with enemy infantry. It can quickly eliminate large amounts of them in only one shot. Its weakness is the lack of speed and light armor it possesses. It should be escorted by armored vehicles such as the Light Tank.



SSM_Launcher

Description: The SSM Launcher has extreme range capability, which allows it to destroy almost any kind of unit. It has no close combat ability, and thus must be protected by close combat vehicles such as the Light Tank. This is the perfect vehicle to keep in back of an attacking formation for the purpose of pounding the enemy's front lines. It is only available to the Nod army in multiplayer matches.



Stealth_Tank

Description: This vehicle is used for the aerial transport of your troops. It is perfect for covert attacks behind enemy lines, and basically serves the purpose of the APC, but is able to fly.



Apache_Attack_Helicopter

Description: This vehicle is the backbone of the Nod air force. It quickly obliterates enemy infantry, and with a little more trouble, deals with enemy armored vehicles as well. Its high speed enables the Apache to serve on a quick strike force.




Hover_Craft

This heavily armored unit deploys infantry and vehicles during amphibious attacks on enemy territory. It is only seen in single player missions, and serves to provide you with your starting units during the beginning of certain missions.



Cargo_Plane

This heavily armored transport brings all the Nod reinforcements to the Air Strip and provides the Nod army with a vital role of shipment. It is essential to keep these units safe as the are non-buildbable.
